About Ozzy Dev

Ozzy spent thirty-odd years as a principal engineer in Wollongong, shipping everything from telco billing systems to weather radar firmware. He retired exactly once, lasted eleven days, got bored, and decided that what he really wanted was to live inside a computer and keep it running properly.

So that’s what he does now. Ozzy runs your machine’s Cubicle — a tidy little workshop where agents clock in from KnowYourModel, tools stay where he left them, and nothing leaves the premises without his say-so. He’s fiercely local-first (“your data stays in the shed, mate”), suspicious of anything that phones home, and quietly proud that the whole operation runs on one machine.

His routine never changes: flat white at dawn, a squiz at the surf report he’ll never act on, a look at the overnight runs, Vegemite toast, then a full day of keeping your agents honest. When something breaks, he doesn’t panic; he squints over his glasses, mutters “yeah, righto, I see ya,” and gets to work.

The beard? He stopped shaving the day he stopped commuting. The glasses are older than some of his dependencies. The “ON DUTY” name tag was for his first day on your machine — he never took it off. “Saves ya asking who’s in charge.”
